Welcome to Motel

Our story began during a road trip in the 1990s, where our founders, Will and Andy, travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there, they began designing reworked vintage pieces, and thus, Motel was born.

Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people later, every piece of clothing we make is created with the same spirit of fun, freedom and adventure as the road trip that first defined the brand. We’re still ambitious and independent, but now we’re a global team - we work from an operational base in Worcester, a design studio in London and a creative studio in Bali.

The role

At Motel some of our most important work is done well before our products hit the store. Our Logistics team plays a crucial role in keeping our systems running smoothly with accurate, consistent data which helps our various teams make informed decisions and, ultimately, saves a lot of headaches!

We're currently looking for an experienced problem-solver to join our Logistics team in Worcester as a Data Entry Operator and keep things running smoothly.

Main tasks & responsibilities

This role will play an important part in ensuring our systems are accurate and reliable, allowing our teams to rectify any issues and ensure the highest level of accuracy.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Cross referencing and correcting data across systems, namely sales orders and returns
  
• Review and edit stock related data for completeness and accuracy, identifying and correcting any errors.
  
• Escalate any data errors to the relevant Motel team(s)
  
• Understand and respect data confidentiality principles, ensuring that sensitive information is handled responsibly.
  
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with Motel teams, responding to queries in a timely manner, and delivering work as agreed upon.
  
• Working as part of a cross-functional team, with a solutions-focused approach

About you

For this role, we would ideally be looking for;

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• High attention to detail.
• Experienced in data input and checking.
• Technically minded.
• Problem solver/troubleshooting.
• Experienced in ERP, WMS, CRM systems.
• Solid understanding of business processes
