Welcome to Motel
Our story began during a road trip in the 1990s, where our founders, Will and Andy, travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there, they began designing reworked vintage pieces, and thus, Motel was born.
Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people later, every piece of clothing we make is created with the same spirit of fun, freedom and adventure as the road trip that first defined the brand. We’re still ambitious and independent, but now we’re a global team - we work from an operational base in Worcester, a design studio in London and a creative studio in Bali.
The role
Our Inventory Admin will support efficient warehouse and inventory operations by ensuring accurate stock movements, proper inventory recording, and maintaining consistency between physical stock and system records (Netsuite).
Main tasks & responsibilities
Coordinate with the Inventory Team and Storemen to ensure smooth inventory flow and efficient warehouse operations.
Process and record bin transfers in the inventory system for every internal warehouse stock movement to ensure accurate stock location records.
Process inventory adjustments for all fabric returns from the Cutting Department to ensure that returned quantities are accurately recorded in the system.
Generate and print barcode labels for all newly received items and items that have completed the inspection process to ensure proper stock identification and traceability.
Maintain consistency between physical stock and system records to minimise inventory discrepancies and reduce operational risks.
Conduct daily stock checks to monitor inventory accuracy, identify discrepancies, and ensure stock records remain up to date.
Verify fabric quantities, fabric types, colours, and styles against the Purchase Order (PO) and Marker documents before handing them over to the Inventory Operations Team to ensure data accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
Support Motel's sustainability initiatives by considering how our practices can improve, actively working in line with the sustainability journey of the business.
